Getting around Munich - Public Transportation
The train system in Munich, the Suburban Rapid Transit or S-Bahn is a convenient way to get around the city. It provides transportation to/from the Munich Airport and the Hotel. Between the Novotel and the NSN campus. From NSN Campus to the Airport and from the Novotel to the group dinner. From Munich Airport to the Novotel Munich City:
Trains depart every 20 minutes from the Airport to the City Center starting at 2 minutes past the hour (06:02, 06:22, 06:42, 7:02, etc.)
Purchase a one-day ticket valid for the whole day and all trains
For city and Airport: Single Day Ticket (entire network) 10.40 Euro
Follow airport signs to the suburban rapid transit (S-Bahn). Take the S8 line towards Herrsching.
Exit at the Rosenheimer Platz station and follow signs to the Novotel. This ride will last about 30 minutes.
From the Novotel Munich City to NSN campus at 76 St-Martin Strasse:
Purchase a one-day ticket valid for the whole day and all trains.
For city travel only: Single Day Ticket (inner district) 5.20 Euro
Take the S-Bahn line S7 towards Kreuzstrasse, Aying or Hohenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn or the S3 towards Hozkirchen. Get off at the St.-Martin-Strasse station. Go downstairs under the reailway-bridge and follow the signs towards exit Siemens. You will reach St-Martins Strasse 76 after walking approximately 100 meters on the right. Turn right to enter the NSN campus and proceed to building 34 and the NSN Auditorium. This walk will take approximately 20 minutes. You can also walk directly from the hotel (about 30 minutes).
From NSN campus St.-Martin-Strasse to Novotel Munich City:
Take the S-Bahn S7 towards Wolfrstshausen or the S3 towards Mammendorf and get off at Rosenheimer Platz.

If the weather permits it is a 15-minute walk from the Novotel to the Ratskeller Munchen. If you prefer, you can take the S-Bahn at Rosenheimer Platz (any line in the direction of Hauptbanhof). Exit at the Marienplatz station.
